Angel Wings

Angel Wings I could see in the sunlight

On that cold December morning oh so long ago

And their faces all a glow

To give me comfort, love and courage to face my fight.

Chorus

Those angel wings came down from Heaven

To tell me as a little boy I wasn’t alone

And some day they will carry me home

Angel wings came down from Heaven

came down from Heaven

Those same angel wings have carried up those I love

When their race was run and they need not terry no more

Resting in the arms of Jesus forevermore

Then all heaven rejoices as the angel band sings from above.

So I rejoice in the presence of my Father

When I see his miracles on earth come too pass

And it reminds me they surrounds me now and from my past.

To carry me through as His love is like no other.

So I will cherish my days

As he anchors me in word and deed

To sow the good seed

To live in in the presence of the sunlight and get down on my knees to pray.

When my journey in this life is no more

And those angel wings carry me home

May God say well done my son with me you were never alone

You can rest in me and your struggle is no more.

(Chorus)

Those angel wings came down from Heaven

To tell me as a little boy I wasn’t alone

And some day they will carry me home

Angel wings came down from Heaven

Came down from Heaven.
